In a momentous celebration of its 90th anniversary, the renowned Oberoi Group has unveiled two prestigious scholarship programs, paying homage to its visionary founders, Rai Bahadur Mohan Singh Oberoi and Prithvi Raj Singh Oberoi. These initiatives aim to nurture talent and drive innovation in the hospitality industry.

The “Dare to Dream” scholarship, named after Rai Bahadur Mohan Singh Oberoi, extends its reach to hotel operations employees from non-Oberoi establishments across India. Complementing this, the “Be the Best” scholarship, honouring Prithvi Raj Singh Oberoi, caters to Oberoi Group employees in India and abroad.

Both scholarships offer a transformative opportunity: the chance to pursue an MBA in hospitality at the prestigious Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL). Recipients will also embark on a Best Practice Tour, experiencing world-class hotels and gaining invaluable insights into global hospitality standards.

Amitabh Kant, India’s G20 sherpa and former CEO of Niti Aayog, lauded the initiative as a fitting tribute to the founders’ distinguished legacy. KB Kachru, president of the Hotels Association of India, emphasized the program’s potential to shape the future of hospitality in India by fostering innovation and excellence through world-class education.

Vikram Oberoi, CEO of The Oberoi Group, underscored the company’s commitment to the values instilled by its founders. He highlighted the scholarship program as a testament to their vision of mentorship and continuous learning. By investing in outstanding talent, the Oberoi Group aims to cultivate leadership, drive innovation, and uphold its commitment to exceptional guest experiences.

This ambitious initiative not only honours the Oberoi Group’s rich heritage but also demonstrates its forward-thinking approach to talent development and industry leadership as it enters its tenth decade of operation.
