The Cancer Patient Aid Association (CPAA) Rehabilitation Centre is dedicated to transforming the lives of cancer patients through innovative support and empowerment. This unique centre fosters dignity, self-esteem, and skills development, enabling patients to achieve economic independence and live self-reliant lives without being a burden to others. By recognizing and nurturing their abilities, the centre instils confidence and provides a pathway to financial empowerment.

Recently, a press conference at the Press Club of Mumbai showcased the centre’s achievements. Notable attendees included Executive Director Mrs. Manju Gupta, CEO Alka Sapru Bisen, Director PR Dr. Suman R. Agarwal, and Mrs. Roopa Dalal. During the event, various products crafted by patients were presented, highlighting partnerships with prestigious organizations like the Taj Hotel Group and Treasury. Profits from these sales reinvest in the centre’s initiatives.

Founded in 1987 by renowned social worker Mrs. Manju Gupta, the CPAA Rehabilitation Centre has successfully rehabilitated 32,447 patients and their families. The centre provides not only financial stability but also a nurturing environment filled with empathy and belonging. It inspires patients to overcome feelings of helplessness and encourages them to embrace life with renewed faith and vigor.

The vocational training offered includes skills such as tailoring, embroidery, Diya and candle making, screen printing, box making, and crafting breast prostheses. This training not only empowers patients but also opens doors to new employment opportunities, instilling hope for a brighter future.

Mrs. Gupta invites support from philanthropists and corporations to enhance this impactful initiative: “We welcome individuals and organizations to join us in improving the lives of underprivileged cancer patients. Together, we can strengthen our mission and help more patients in need. I urge everyone to show their compassion and contribute to making our society more resilient.”

Suman Agarwal, Director PR, CPAA, speaking to Mumbai Messenger said “To truly make a difference in the lives of those battling cancer, we call upon philanthropists, trusts, and compassionate individuals to step forward and extend their support. Your contributions can empower the Cancer Patients Aid Association Rehabilitation Centre to continue its vital work in transforming the lives of needy patients and their families, offering them renewed hope and the chance for a brighter future.”
