Global hospitality group Minor Hotels has appointed Rohit Chopra as Area Commercial Director for India, marking a significant step in its strategy to expand its presence in the country.
In his new role, Chopra will lead commercial initiatives across Minor Hotels in India, focusing on driving revenue growth, fostering long-term client relationships, and enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty. He will report to Vijay Krishnan, Vice President of Operations, India, and Richard Beh, Vice President of Commercial, Asia.
Chopra brings over 26 years of experience in the hospitality industry, having held key positions at renowned global brands such as Marriott, Hyatt, and Accor. He began his career as a Sales Executive in 1998 and joined Hyatt in 2004, where he rose to the role of Director of Sales and Marketing. In 2013, he transitioned to Accor, spending over a decade there and ultimately serving as Director of National Sales for India & South Asia. In this capacity, he led strategic sales and distribution initiatives that significantly enhanced the company’s performance both in India and internationally.
