Jamaica is taking significant steps to enhance its accessibility for international tourists, particularly targeting British and Indian travellers, with a new non-stop flight from Heathrow, London to Montego Bay, launching in Summer 2025. This direct route is expected to boost tourism by offering more convenient travel and making Jamaica’s beaches, cultural experiences, and luxury resorts more accessible.

In addition to the new flight, Jamaica won six major awards at the 10th Annual Travvy Awards, including gold for ‘Best Travel Agent Academy Program’ and silver for ‘Best Culinary Destination – Caribbean’ and ‘Best Tourism Board – Caribbean.’ These accolades highlight Jamaica’s excellence in service and hospitality.

Jamaica is positioning itself as a top luxury destination, with high-end developments like the US$450 million Montego Bay Pinnacle project. The Jamaica Tourist Board is focusing on attracting affluent travellers through exclusive resorts, villas, and retreats, aiming to make the island a global hub for luxury tourism.
