After making a mark in New Delhi, the globally acclaimed House of Ming Chinese restaurant is ready to conquer the hearts of diners in London. To celebrate the Chinese New Year, House of Ming is unveiling an exclusive offering in London. From 18th January to 8th February 2025, the restaurant will transform its already stunning interiors with beautiful Chinese New Year decorations and launch a specially curated menu, featuring mouth-watering dishes and cocktails.

2025 marks the Year of the Wood Snake, a symbol of prosperity, elegance, and renewal. Drawing inspiration from this enigmatic and astute creature, House of Ming’s special offering will reflect the snake’s essence—intelligent, refined, and full of surprises. Every detail of the new menu is designed to honour this powerful symbol.

The limited edition Chinese New Year menu will feature culinary masterpieces, including delicacies such as Golden Garlic Steamed Lobster and Smashed Ginger Seabass with Soy Sauce, delivering explosive flavours and exceptional artistry. To complement the feast, two brand-new cocktails will be introduced to embrace the heritage of the occasion:

The Clever Snake: A refreshing blend of pear liqueur, white pear juice, lime juice, agave syrup, and Baiju— a traditional Chinese spirit symbolizing good fortune and unity during Lunar New Year celebrations.

The Victory over Nian: A celebration in a glass, made with vodka and elderflower liqueur, representing elegance and wellbeing, inviting guests to toast to fortune.

As part of the Chinese New Year tradition, House of Ming will also honor the classic gesture of gifting red envelopes. On Chinese New Year’s Day, 29th January 2025, all diners will receive a red envelope containing a gold coin special offer, continuing the age-old tradition of elders gifting money to children and grandchildren to bestow good fortune for the year ahead.

Sujoy Gupta, Executive Chef, St. James’ Court, A Taj Hotel, says, “Taj Hotels have always been synonymous with creating unparalleled dining experiences for our esteemed guests. In London, too, we’ve earned a reputation for culinary excellence that continues to be the talk of the town. Our food festivals are a major highlight and always top the charts. For this special occasion, our talented Chinese Chef Dickson Leung has curated exclusive dishes that capture the essence of Chinese cuisine, ensuring every guest experiences a memorable journey of flavours.”

Sujoy added, “At Taj Hotels, food is not just about taste—it’s about crafting an unforgettable experience that speaks to the heart of every guest.
