HPMF Partners with WineGAI to Transform Hospitality Beverage Procurement in India

The Hospitality Purchasing Managers’ Forum (HPMF) has officially signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Wine Growers Association of India (WineGAI), a key organization representing Indian wine producers. This collaboration is set to enhance procurement expertise, broaden product knowledge, and improve global sourcing capabilities for hospitality professionals in India.

The MOU, signed today, marks a pivotal step in fostering mutual growth, knowledge exchange, and industry advancement. The partnership will focus on developing specialized training programs, fostering direct connections with wine producers, and streamlining the procurement process for premium wines within India’s hospitality sector.

Dr. Nitin Nagrale, Founder and General Secretary of HPMF, shared his enthusiasm for the partnership: “This collaboration with WineGAI is a major leap forward for hospitality procurement professionals. By linking Indian hospitality buyers with local wine producers, we aim to set new standards, enhance product availability, and drive excellence in procurement practices.”

Ashwin Rodrigues, Secretary of Wine Growers Association of India (WineGAI), highlighted the importance of the partnership: “As India’s wine industry continues to grow, so does the demand for high-quality wines in hospitality. Through this partnership with HPMF, we are excited to provide procurement professionals with essential knowledge, expertise, and access to a diverse selection of both Indian and global wines.”

Sunil Kuttan, Project Lead at HPMF’s Future Vision and Legacy, underscored the operational significance of the collaboration: “This MOU is a vital step toward streamlining wine procurement for the hospitality industry. Our goal is to simplify access to quality products, offer in-depth training, and establish a seamless connection between wine producers and hospitality buyers.”

The partnership will include exclusive masterclasses, procurement training programs, networking events, and market intelligence reports, ensuring that HPMF members stay ahead in the evolving beverage procurement landscape.

The signing event was attended by industry leaders, key stakeholders, and hospitality professionals, marking the beginning of an exciting and impactful collaboration.
