Abhishek Sachdev Leads Courtyard by Marriott Mumbai Airport as New General Manager

Abhishek Sachdev, a seasoned hotelier, has been appointed as the new General Manager of Courtyard by Marriott Mumbai International Airport. With nearly two decades of diverse experience in the hospitality industry, he is poised to lead the hotel into its next phase of growth, innovation, and transformation. Before assuming this role, Abhishek served as the South Asia Director of Hotel Openings with Marriott group.

In his new role at Courtyard by Marriott, Abhishek is committed to building on the hotel’s legacy while spearheading innovation. His vision for the property includes overseeing a complete room renovation, revamping the food and beverage offerings, and elevating the guest experience to ensure it remains exceptional.

Abhishek began his career as a Management Trainee with ITC Hotels, contributing to the pre-opening team at ITC Gardenia in Bangalore. Abhishek gained further experience managing rooms at Taj Bekal Resort & Spa and overseeing operations at Taj Fisherman’s Cove in Chennai. In 2019, he joined Marriott International as Hotel Manager at Fairfield by Marriott Kolkata, playing a key role in its launch. In 2022, he was promoted to Director of Hotel Openings for South Asia, overseeing pre-opening activities for 35 hotels.

Educational Assets: Abhishek began his hospitality education at the National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology, followed by advanced training at the ITC Hospitality Management Institute. To further enhance his expertise, he earned a Certificate in Benchmarking in Hospitality from the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management. He then went on to achieve a Master’s in Business Administration from the prestigious École Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) in Switzerland.

Abhishek shared, “Mumbai has a special place in my heart, and after supporting multiple hotel openings for Marriott International across South Asia, it felt like the right time to return to hotel operations.
