JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar has announced the appointment of Chirag Zubin Lacca as the new Director of Sales. With over a decade of experience in the hospitality industry, Chirag brings with him a strong track record in revenue generation, client relationship management, and strategic sales planning.
Prior to this appointment, he served as Associate Director of Sales at GSO Pune for the Taj group. His previous roles include Director of Sales at Taj Wellington Mews, Mumbai; Account Manager at Indian Hotels Company Limited (South Mumbai); Sales Manager at Taj Wellington Mews; and Assistant Sales Manager at Novotel Hotels, Goa.
A graduate of IHM Aurangabad with a B.A. (Hons.) in Hotel Management, Chirag has consistently demonstrated results-driven leadership in fast-paced hospitality environments. His career spans top hospitality brands including Taj Hotels and Accor Hotels, where he held several key sales leadership roles.
Chirag’s achievements include spearheading key partnerships with Public Sector Banks (PSBs) for the Holiday Home Plan across 40 IHCL hotels, resulting in a 115% increase in account contribution. He was also instrumental in retaining high-value accounts that contributed significantly to Non-Resident Banquet Revenue at the iconic Taj Mahal Palace & Tower. His strategic use of ancillary programs further boosted segment sales among PSUs, PSBs, and major corporates.
In his new role at JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar, Chirag will be responsible for driving complex negotiations, enhancing client engagement, and implementing targeted sales strategies. He will work closely across all business segments to align with the hotel’s commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences, while maintaining a collaborative leadership approach focused on teamwork and operational excellence.
His appointment reaffirms JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar’s focus on strengthening its commercial leadership team and sustaining its position as a premier destination for luxury hospitality in the region.
