Hyedrabad’s Tansen, the city’s fine-dining destination for Northwest Frontier cuisine, is celebrating its first anniversary with a double serving of themed culinary festivals designed for serious food lovers. The restaurant, which opened in 2024 with a Mughal-inspired aesthetic and royal service ethos, has quickly become a preferred address for gourmands seeking heritage recipes with contemporary finesse.

The festivities began with the Tales of Arabia Food Festival  on July 17 and ended on 19, 2025. Curated by Chef Pin, the showcase highlights the age-old culinary exchange between India and the Arab world, bringing together Middle Eastern elegance and the warmth of Indian spice traditions in a luxe tasting experience.

The celebration continues with the Royal Kitchen Food Festival from July 24 to 26, 2025, led by Chef Anuj Wadhawan. This menu revives Anglo-Indian culinary nostalgia shaped in royal residences and on railway journeys of the colonial era, offering comforting yet refined dishes that bridge history and indulgence.

“Tansen was never just a restaurant—it was a dream to celebrate India’s culinary legacy. Every dish carries a story, tradition, and the joy of bringing people together. Seeing guests create memories here fills us with pride, and we hope to take Tansen’s magic beyond Hyderabad,” said Amar Ohri, Director, Ohri’s Group.

“This milestone is a tribute to Hyderabad’s vibrant community of food enthusiasts who embraced our vision. With these curated festivals, we invite guests on a culinary voyage through the flavours and traditions that shaped India’s epicurean heritage,” said Neeraj Roy, General Manager, Tansen.
