Young, dynamic, and a seasoned hotelier, Sachin Mylavarapu has taken over as the new General Manager of JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar. Prior to this appointment, he served as Senior Director – Operations, South Asia for Marriott International, where he was responsible for driving operational performance across the brand’s diverse portfolio in the region. With Mylavarapu at the helm, the hotel is set to elevate its legacy of service, gourmet offerings, and guest experience.
In his new role, Sachin will oversee all facets of hotel operations, with a sharp focus on curating seamless and elevated guest journeys, nurturing talent, and positioning the hotel as a premier destination for both business and leisure travellers.
In the dynamic and competitive world of hospitality, Sachin stands out as a relentless go-getter and a disciplined taskmaster — known for his passion, precision, and unwavering eye for detail. With over two decades of global experience, he brings a deep understanding of operations and an international perspective shaped by leadership roles across India, the United States, and Europe.
A Marriott veteran with over 16 years of service, Sachin has led high-performing teams across multiple brands, excelling in operations, food and beverage, and guest services. His balanced approach to leadership—focused on both people and performance.

Educational Assets: An alumnus of globally respected institutions, Sachin Mylavarapu brings with him a robust academic foundation. He is a graduate of Cornell University’s program in Financial Analysis of Hotel Investments and holds a PGDHRA from César Ritz Colleges, Switzerland. He earned his Diploma in Hotel Management from IHM Hyderabad, and a B.Com. from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad. His academic journey began at St. Joseph’s Public School. This diverse education, paired with his operational expertise, positions him to lead with both insight and impact.
Career Journey: Sachin’s professional journey began as a Management Intern at The Dolder Grand in Zurich, Switzerland. He later gained international exposure at Callaway Gardens in the U.S. and Global Franchise Architects in Bangkok. In India, he held progressive leadership roles with The Westin Hotels and The St. Regis Mumbai, rising from F&B Manager to Hotel Manager, while completing Marriott’s GM Track. He then served as GM at JW Marriott Mussoorie, before taking on regional leadership roles at Marriott as Area Director and then Senior Director – Operations, South Asia.
