The St. Regis Mumbai has announced the appointment of Nishanth Vishwanath as its new Multi-property General Manager. In this leadership role, he will spearhead operations at The St. Regis Mumbai and Courtyard by Marriott Agra, with a focus on elevating guest experiences and driving sustained growth.
Vishwanath, who previously served as General Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Pune, is a seasoned hospitality professional with more than two decades of experience across Marriott International’s portfolio. He began his career in 2001 with Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel in the Food & Beverage division and quickly rose through the ranks, building a reputation for operational excellence and strategic innovation.
Over the years, he has played a pivotal role in positioning properties such as JW Marriott Pune, Renaissance Mumbai, and JW Marriott Bengaluru as leading destinations for weddings, conferences, and luxury experiences. His career trajectory includes senior leadership positions such as General Manager at Courtyard by Marriott Chennai and Area Director – Operations for South & East India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, where he strengthened Marriott’s market presence.
Known for his people-first leadership style, Vishwanath has been recognized for mentoring associates, guiding pre-opening teams, and consistently championing service excellence. He holds a degree in hotel management from Mangalore University. Beyond hospitality, he is an avid traveler with a love for culture and history, along with personal interests in fitness and reading.
With his appointment, The St. Regis Mumbai looks to build upon its legacy of timeless luxury and bespoke service under his dynamic leadership.
