The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) announced the successful conclusion of the 2025 Jamaica Product Exchange (JAPEX), the island’s flagship tourism trade event. Held from September 22–24 at the Montego Bay Convention Centre, the event brought together international buyers, tour operators, travel media, and industry professionals to explore Jamaica’s diverse tourism offerings and build lasting global partnerships.
Over three days, JAPEX 2025 reaffirmed Jamaica’s position as a powerhouse in global tourism. The event served as a key marketplace for networking and business development, highlighting the country’s broad portfolio — from luxury resorts and wellness retreats to adventure activities, cultural experiences, and heritage attractions. This year’s theme, “Ready, Set, Go,” reflected Jamaica’s dynamic approach toward innovation, collaboration, and sustainable tourism growth.

Edmund Bartlett, Jamaica’s Minister of Tourism, said Jamaica now leads the region in post-Covid growth — a story the nation is eager to share with the world. He emphasized, however, that the country’s progress goes far beyond statistics. “This growth is not just about numbers,” he noted. “It reflects how tourism has empowered our people to create value, foster innovation, and craft new experiences that enhance Jamaica’s appeal and relevance in the global travel community.”
Notably, JAPEX 2025 saw strong engagement from Indian travel agents and media delegates who participated in strategic business sessions aimed at expanding connectivity between the two markets. The Indian contingent explored opportunities to position Jamaica as a sought-after long-haul destination for weddings, honeymoons, and leisure travel, discovering the island’s rich blend of sophistication, culture, and natural beauty.
Post-event, participants embarked on curated familiarization tours, experiencing first hand Jamaica’s scenic landscapes, luxury stays, and community-led initiatives. The resounding success of JAPEX 2025 underscores JTB’s commitment to deepening international collaborations and strengthening Jamaica’s global tourism footprint.
