Maharashtra Governor urges transparency, accountability in public service conduct

Maharashtra and Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat on Monday administered the ‘Integrity Pledge’ to officers and staff of Raj Bhavan, Mumbai, marking the launch of the Vigilance Awareness Week.
The pledge-taking ceremony was held at Raj Bhavan, where the Governor read out the pledge which was repeated by the staff. They vowed “neither to take nor offer bribe” and to perform their duties in a transparent and accountable manner.
The week-long observance, from October 27 to November 2, is being organised as per the directions of the Central Vigilance Commission. This year’s theme is ‘Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility’, underscoring citizen participation in promoting transparency and integrity in public life.
Secretary to the Governor Dr. Prashant Narnaware, Deputy Secretary S. Ramamoorthy, Comptroller of the Governor’s Households Dr. Nishikant Deshpande and other senior officials of Raj Bhavan were present on the occasion.
