EHV International has marked its entry into South India with the launch of Fireback and Barback at The Loft, HITEC City, Hyderabad. Following the successful openings of Fireback in Goa and Mumbai, the new venture introduces Hyderabad to an immersive Thai dining and cocktail experience inspired by the vibrant culinary culture of Bangkok.
Named after Thailand’s national bird, the Siamese Fireback, the restaurant is led by legendary Chef David Thompson, widely regarded as one of the world’s foremost authorities on Thai cuisine. As Culinary Director, Chef Thompson has crafted a menu that celebrates authentic Thai flavours with a contemporary touch. Chef Kaustubh Haldipur, Brand Chef of Fireback, oversees the culinary operations and execution.
Guests enter Fireback through Barback, a cocktail bar inspired by the lively nightlife of Bangkok’s Chinatown. Together, the two venues offer a seamless transition from refined dining to an energetic late-evening social experience.

The menu features signature Thai dishes such as Miang Kham, Pineapple Som Tam, Green Curry, Classic Thai Omelette and an assortment of fresh seafood and vegetarian specialities. Complementing the cuisine is an innovative beverage programme curated by EHV International’s Head of Bars, Varun Sharma, showcasing cocktails infused with Southeast Asian ingredients including pandan, yuzu, kaffir lime, lemongrass and tamarind. Kevin Rodrigues, Head of Wines, has also curated a wine selection designed to pair with the restaurant’s vibrant flavours.
Speaking on the launch, Chef David Thompson said, “Thai cooking is about the delicate balance of flavours, textures and aromas. Through Fireback, we hope guests in Hyderabad experience the richness and authenticity that define Thailand’s culinary heritage.”
