MVIRDC World Trade Center (WTC) Mumbai and ITM Skills University, Kharghar, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch a 15-month Executive MBA in Global Business, Trade and Digital Commerce for working professionals, SME entrepreneurs and business leaders. The programme aims to combine academic excellence with practical industry exposure, enabling participants to enhance their skills while continuing their professional careers.

Under the partnership, WTC Mumbai will contribute industry expertise through guest lectures, networking opportunities, trade forums and international business exposure, offering participants valuable insights into global trade and commerce.

Nitin Putcha, Executive President, ITM Skills University, said the initiative is designed to prepare Indian companies and trade professionals for an increasingly complex global business environment.

“The need of the hour is to make Indian companies and trade professionals ready to compete in an increasingly complex geopolitical environment. Through this collaborative programme, ITM Skills University and World Trade Center Mumbai will provide a platform for growth, innovation and professional development while preparing future-ready business leaders,” he said.

Prof. Dr. R. S. S. Mani, Co-Founder, ITM Group of Institutions, said the programme would strengthen management skills among working executives and SME entrepreneurs. He added that the curriculum would include specialised modules on import-export and foreign trade and would be delivered in a hybrid format with practical sessions and the use of the latest agentic AI tools.

Priya Pansare, Director, Trade and Investment Promotion, WTC Mumbai, said the collaboration would create an industry-driven platform that blends academic learning with real-world business experience and helps develop globally competent leaders to strengthen India’s trade competitiveness.

The Executive MBA is expected to provide professionals with practical exposure to global business, international trade and digital commerce while supporting their career growth.
