Hilton Mumbai International Airport is set to mark Independence Day with its “Braveheart Brunch”, a culinary initiative celebrating the courage, dedication and sacrifices of India’s armed forces. The brunch will be hosted across participating Hilton hotels in India on August 13 and 15.
Altamash Patel, Culinary Director, Hilton Mumbai, said, “Food has always been a powerful way of bringing people together, and the Braveheart Brunch is our tribute to the men and women who have served the nation. Through ‘Regimental Zaikas’, we are bringing together flavours and culinary traditions from across India, with each dish telling a story of its region and regiment. It is our way of celebrating India’s diversity while honouring the courage, service and sacrifice of our armed forces.”
The initiative features an exclusive menu titled “Regimental Zaikas”, drawing inspiration from an archive of recipes originating from the Army Supply Corps Centre and College in Bengaluru. The menu has been curated to showcase the diversity of India’s regional cuisines while highlighting culinary traditions associated with different regiments.
The menu will feature dishes representing diverse regiments as well as recipes from all 28 states across the country. The curated selection will be replicated across participating Hilton hotels in India on the scheduled dates.
The concept aims to bring together India’s culinary diversity through dishes that reflect the stories, flavours and traditions of different regions and regiments. Through the brunch, guests will have an opportunity to explore regional cuisine while learning about the culinary heritage associated with India’s armed forces.
As part of the initiative, the Braveheart Brunch will be open to travellers across the country. Hilton India will also extend special offers to serving and retired personnel of the Army, Navy and Air Force as a gesture of appreciation for their service and contribution to the nation.
The initiative combines a celebration of Indian cuisine with a tribute to the country’s armed forces, marking Independence Day through food, regional traditions and stories of service.
