India’s largest hospitality brand, Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), has announced the signing of a new property in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. This conversion project, branded under the Gateway portfolio, will mark another milestone in the company’s strategic expansion into high-growth tourism markets.
Positioned near the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, the 100-key Gateway Dehradun is designed to capture the city’s charm and cater to a diverse set of travelers. Dehradun’s close proximity to iconic destinations like Mussoorie, Rishikesh, and Haridwar makes it a hub for leisure tourists, pilgrims, and business delegations. The hotel promises to blend modern luxury with the city’s serene landscape.
Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate and Development, IHCL Speaking about the development, said, “Dehradun’s growing popularity as a tourism and business hub aligns with our strategy to penetrate high-potential markets. With Gateway Dehradun, we reinforce our multi-brand presence in the city, bringing the total number of IHCL hotels in Dehradun to five.”

With this addition, IHCL now has 17 properties in Uttarakhand, including seven under development, reinforcing its commitment to the state’s growing tourism and business sectors.
