Maharashtra Governor Inaugurates MAHAPEX 2025 State-Level Philatelic Exhibition in Mumbai

The Governor of Maharashtra C. P. Radhakrishnan inaugurated the four-day MAHAPEX 2025, on January 22, 2025.  It was a State-Level Philatelic Exhibition held at the prestigious World Trade Centre in Mumbai. The exhibition, organized by the Maharashtra Postal Circle, brings together philatelists and enthusiasts from across the state to celebrate the world of stamp collecting and postal history.

During the inauguration, the Governor unveiled the official logo of the exhibition and also released a Permanent Pictorial Cancellation on Pandav Leni, a famous archaeological site near Nashik, as well as a Customized My Stamp featuring Mulchand G. Shah, a renowned personality in the postal domain. Additionally, the Governor released a Special Cover on the World Trade Centre Mumbai, a Braille Script cover, and a cover commemorating the Dak Seva e-bicycle expedition, underscoring the significance of innovation and accessibility in the postal service.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Chief Post Master General of Maharashtra and Goa, Amitabh Singh, Chairman of the World Trade Centre Mumbai, Vijay Kalantri, Times of India Executive Bhavana Roy, and Manek Shah. The exhibition serves as a platform for philatelic enthusiasts to explore rare and unique stamps, fostering greater appreciation for the history and art of stamp collecting.
