Vanaha Gin, crafted by Revelry Distillery in the lush Sattari forests of North Goa, is redefining India’s craft spirits landscape with its bold innovation and distinctive character. The brand is the brainchild of Vaniitha Jaiin, one of the first women in India to independently build, own, and run a distillery. In a sector long dominated by men and legacy names, her achievement stands as a remarkable milestone.
The name Vanaha combines “vana” (forest) and “aha” (a moment of realization), reflecting the inspiration drawn from nature. Distilled and bottled at Revelry Distillery, the spirit embraces a forest-to-bottle philosophy, capturing purity, curiosity, and refined craftsmanship. Its uniqueness has already earned global acclaim, with Vanaha being the only gin worldwide shortlisted in the Innovation in Production category at The Spirits Business Awards 2025—an elite shortlist of just three finalists globally.
Building on this momentum, Revelry Distillery has announced Vanaha Gin’s expansion into Madhya Pradesh, adding to its availability in Goa. The move aligns seamlessly with the brand’s ethos, as Madhya Pradesh, a state defined by its abundant forests, provides a natural connection to Vanaha’s identity as a “forest in a bottle.” This expansion signals a key milestone in the brand’s ambitious growth roadmap, with further launches planned across major Indian markets within the year.

Vanaha Gin: Crafting forest-to-bottle excellence
At the heart of Vanaha’s craft lies a meticulous five-step botanical extraction process—Botanical Maceration, Copper Pot Distillation, Vapour Infusion, Cold Vacuum Distillation, and Staging. Developed after years of research and experimentation with over 200 botanicals, this layered system ensures exceptional texture, aroma, and integrity. The distillery, equipped with a custom European copper pot still, advanced R&D lab, and sustainable design ethos, produces nearly one million bottles annually, highlighting its scale and precision.
The expansion comes as India’s spirits industry undergoes rapid premiumisation, driven by consumers seeking elevated drinking experiences. Vanaha’s trajectory highlights not only the strength of a homegrown craft brand but also India’s ability to compete globally in a category traditionally dominated by international players.
Reflecting on the journey, Vaniitha Jaiin, Founder & Chief Evangelist of Revelry Distillery, said, “Vanaha was born from a simple question—could we distill the spirit of a forest with all its purity and complexity? To answer that, we reinvented how gin is made. Our five-step extraction mirrors the rhythm of the forest—layered, alive, and natural. This recognition is validation not just for Vanaha, but for India as an innovator in spirits.”
