Indian Accent Mumbai will host an exclusive two-night culinary collaboration with Tokyo-based Biriyani Osawa, a restaurant recognised with a Bib Gourmand in the MICHELIN Guide Tokyo 2026, on July 31 and August 1 at its Jio World Centre outlet in Bandra Kurla Complex.

The event comes shortly after Indian Accent Mumbai was featured on the 50 Best Restaurants – Discovery platform and is part of the restaurant’s ongoing programme of international chef collaborations.

Founded by Chef Takamasa Osawa, Biriyani Osawa is a 10-seat, reservation-only restaurant in Tokyo dedicated exclusively to biryani. Inspired by the traditional biryanis of Hyderabad and Sindh, Chef Osawa combines authentic Indian flavours with the precision of Japanese culinary techniques. His specialised approach has earned the restaurant recognition among diners seeking regional Indian cuisine in Japan.

For the Mumbai collaboration, Chef Osawa will present his signature Chicken, Mutton and Vegetarian Biryanis alongside a selection of exclusive dishes created jointly with the culinary team at Indian Accent Mumbai.

Rohit Khattar, Founder Chairman of EHV International, said the collaboration brings together chefs who share a commitment to craftsmanship and offers diners an opportunity to experience Chef Osawa’s interpretation of biryani in India.

Chef Takamasa Osawa said his culinary journey with biryani began in India and that presenting his interpretation of the dish at Indian Accent Mumbai is a significant milestone. He said he hopes every plate reflects the respect, curiosity and craftsmanship that have shaped his work.

Neha Malik and Vaibhav Bahl, Co-Founders of Conosh, said the collaboration reflects their efforts to introduce acclaimed international culinary experiences to Indian audiences through partnerships with renowned chefs and restaurants. The special dining experience will begin at 8 p.m. on July 31 and August 1 at Indian Accent, Jio World Centre (Gate 11), Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai.
