China Consul General in Mumbai to hold seminar on Corona Virus

Government officials, Think tank, Business and Culture Circle to take part 

China government is leaving no stone unturned to control and curb Corona virus epidemic. The government is taking all necessary steps on war footing level, their scientists are working round the clock to find out solution to control the virus. All diplomatic missions across the globe are initiating and in touch with local administration. Chinese mission is in touch with prominent people to discuss remedy and bring normalcy. 

 Consul General (CG) of China in Mumbai His Excellency Tang Guocai is also taking keen initiative to find the remedy for the Corona virus. The CG in Mumbai has organized a seminar,  focusing on the fight against coronavirus, China’s economy in long run and China India cooperation. The seminar will be jointly held our Consulate and ORF, tentatively scheduled on either on March 3rd, 2020 or in the first week of March in Mumbai.

This seminar would be a mega initiative by Chinese Consulate in Mumbai. The seminar is slated to be attended by senior officials from Central and state government, representatives from think tank, business and culture circle will participate in it. The seminar would help understanding views of participants and will try to mobilise their views to curb corona virus on top priority level. 

A senior official from ministry of health in government of India on the condition of anonymity said “Corona Virus is not only the concern of China but of entire world. India is doing extensive research to curb the virus. It’s not only about China but about a humanity, and of every human being of the world. Scientists are working 24×7 to find out solution. India is known for supporting humanity across the globe. You may be aware that Dr Kotnis has played important role for humanity when epidemic broke out in China. Dr. Kotnis did great job for Chinese citizen, till his last breath”. 

Meanwhile H.E. Tang Guocai, CG of China in Mumbai added “Coronavirus is common enemy of the international community. Since the onset of the outbreak, many Indian friends from political, business, cultural circles and friendly organizations have expressed their solidarity and support. Many leading film stars are vocal in support of China”. 

World Health Organisation WHO is also doing extensive research and trying to find out medicine which would be effective and should be in circulation to avoid further spread of virus.

WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros reiterates that there is no ground for unnecessary travel and trade restrictions. H.E. António Guterres, Secretary- General of the United Nations, appeals no discrimination towards Chinese citizens should be a must. There is no need to panic or overreact.
