Those who are looking to try out exclusive and classic Cocktail during this summer, have reason to cheer. Sofitel Mumbai’s Bar Chef Rajesh Singh has curated classic cocktails. These special cocktails menu infused with Absinthe. Listed on the ‘Absinthe Minded’ menu are beverages like Basil Smash and Maison that will help us beat the heat in the scorching summer. 

Bar Chef Rajesh Singh, Sofitel Mumbai BKC has shared his secret recipe. Those who want to try out at home, they can do it easily. 

ABSINTHE COCKTAIL

Basil Smash cocktail

BASIL SMASH

Ingredients Quantity

Absinthe             :45 ml.

Vodka             :15 ml.

Sugar Syrup             :10 ml.

Lime Juice             :30 ml.

Fresh Basil             :05 nos

Fresh Basil Sprig    :for garnish

Method:

  • Muddle basil leaves along with fresh lemon juice and sugar syrup 
  • Then pour Absinthe and Vodka, shake all the ingredients together
  • Double strain it in a glass and add a cube of ice

Glassware: Old fashion glass.

Garnish: Garnish with fresh basil sprig.

Maison cocktail

MAISON

Ingredients               Quantity

Absinthe                 :45 ml.

Martini Bianco               :15 ml.

Almond Syrup       :25 ml.

Lime Juice                   :15 ml.

Fresh Rosemary            :02 nos

Fresh Rosemary Stick  :for garnish

Method:

  • Muddle fresh rosemary along with almond syrup and lime juice 
  • Then add Absinthe and Martin Bianco, shake all the ingredients together
  • Double strain it in a glass and add a cube of ice

Glassware: Absinthe glass

Garnish: Garnish with fresh rosemary stick.
