Free Corona virus quarantine stamps for travellers

Indian nationals visiting the UAE have rushed to book tickets home before a mandatory 14-day quarantine comes into force this week as part of efforts to curb the global spread of coronavirus.
All travellers from the Emirates as well as Oman, Kuwait and Qatar will be stamped with a home quarantine tag when they enter the international airport in Mumbai and other cities of western Maharashtra state from noon on Wednesday.Maharashtra government has decided that all people undergoing ‘home quarantine’ for suspected exposure to the coronavirus will be stamped on the left hand. The state government said that the left hand of all persons under home quarantine will be stamped to identify them easily in case they mingle with the general public.The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and attended by district officials through video-conferencing, the state government said in an official release.“People who are advised to be #HomeQuarantined will now #GetInked at the back of the palm. This #BadgeOfHonour will serve as a constant reminder, for 14 days. For others, gets easy to spot & remind to return home. One worry less!,” the BMC said.The blue indelible ink stamp reads: ‘Proud To Protect Mumbaikars Home Quarantined’
