Recently while stepping out to buy groceries and essentials we saw that delivery boys are delivering groceries and other things while wearing uniforms of ZOMATO and SWIGGY so that the cops don’t catch them out. When the government of Maharashtra has strictly given orders about the operation of grocery stores on certain days and timings then why are people not taking it seriously? Still people are ordering stuff from vegetable and fruit vendors through these guys wearing ZOMATO and SWIGGY uniforms. It poses a big threat to not just the people ordering stuff but to everyone else around them. Government of Maharashtra , Police , Doctors , Nurses are really working so hard to contain the corona virus and some people are just spoiling their efforts by doing what we mentioned above. We just came across an article in which a pizza delivery boy from South Delhi Malviya Nagar was Corona positive and he was still delivering pizzas here and there. In a span of 20 days he has delivered pizzas to 72 families. Even though he claims he was wearing a mask and using sanitisers but just imagine the amount of harm done just because people can’t be without eating pizzas for a few days and just sit at home for a few days. Delhi’s Health Minister Satyendra Jain said strict actions will be taken against the restaurant. All the 72 families and the other pizza delivery boys are undergoing tests and are asked to self quarantine at their homes. It’s very shameful to see that people are still doing all this and not understanding the seriousness of the situation and not appreciating what people at the frontline are doing for the country. The efforts of CM Uddhav Thackeray and Government of Maharashtra are commendable in containing the corona virus here in Maharashtra. But it all depends on us too that we stay home and only go out to buy groceries on the appointed days and maintain social distance over there too.
