Saurabh Bakshi, an esteemed veteran within the hospitality space has recently joined as the new Area General Manager for Yas Plaza Hotels. He possesses extensive hotel experience with two decades in the hospitality industry and has worked with acclaimed properties. In his new role as Area GM, Saurabh will oversee the strategic operations of the Aldar’s clustered portfolio at Yas plaza on Yas Island. Located on the iconic Yas Island, the six Yas Plaza hotels include: Radisson Blu; Crowne Plaza; Yas Rotana; Yas Park Inn; Yas Centro; and Yas Staybridge Suites.
Prior to Aldar, Saurabh was the General Manager, Operations of the world’s largest Sheraton with 4001 rooms and the 400-room St. Regis Macao. He has vast experience working in leading hotel chains, before joining Sheraton group in Macao; he served as General Manager for Sheraton Grand Bangalore at Brigade Gateway. Saurabh’s prior experience includes as Front Office Manager at Grand Hyatt Hotel Delhi, Associate Director at Spectra Hospitality, Rooms Division Manager and Executive Assistant Manager at The Leela Mumbai, EAM (Hotel) at Sheraton Bangalore (Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide).

Educational Assets: Saurabh completed his secondary and Higher Secondary education from Kendriya Vidyalaya Jammu. He joined IHM Pusa for his hotel management degree and passed out with flying colours in 2000. He is an alumnus of world’s prestigious Cornell University. His educational assets make him different from others in the hospitality industry. His other education includes Hotel Asset Management (HAM) certificate course in the field of Motel Administration/Management from Ecole hoteliere de Lausanne, Switzerland. He also did his digital marketing course from India’s premier institute, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore and MBA from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad.
