In a comprehensive meeting held at Raj Bhavan Mumbai, Dr. Hemlata Bagla, Vice-Chancellor of Hyderabad Sind National Collegiate (HSNC) University, presented a detailed overview of the university’s current progress and its future plans to the Governor of Maharashtra and Chancellor of the University, C. P. Radhakrishnan. The presentation provided valuable insights into the university’s strategic roadmap, emphasizing its long-term vision and aspirations for academic and infrastructural growth.

The Governor took the time to thoroughly review the university’s operations and offered several recommendations to enhance its functioning. Key suggestions focused on the effective implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP), which aims to revolutionize India’s education system by incorporating skill development and hands-on learning opportunities. The Governor stressed the importance of offering skill development courses within the curriculum to equip students with practical skills and real-world knowledge, thereby improving their employability.

Another critical area of focus was fostering industry connections by providing students with more internship and hands-on learning opportunities. The Governor also advocated for expanding partnerships with foreign universities to offer students and faculty greater global exposure, facilitating academic and cultural exchanges.

Additionally, the Governor encouraged the university to prioritize inclusivity, particularly by increasing the representation of students from Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). He highlighted the need for more efforts to ensure these groups have access to higher education and the support necessary to succeed.

The Governor also recommended further development of the university’s infrastructure, including additional hostel facilities to accommodate a growing student body, and the creation of a drug-free and healthy campus environment. Furthermore, he expressed his support for the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and encouraged the university to promote cleanliness and sustainability on campus.

In conclusion, the meeting served as a productive exchange of ideas, with the Governor’s guidance laying a strong foundation for the university’s continued growth and success.
