Chennai Air Customs observed Vigilance Awareness Week from 27.02.2020 to 02.11.2020. The theme for this year was “Vigilant India, Prosperous India”.  A valedictory function was organised on monday at New Custom House, Meenambakkam. Dr. S. Armstrong, Professor and Head of the Department of English, Madras University was the chief guest. He addressed departmental officers and gave a strong message to be vigilant & maintain high integrity in professional as well as personal life.

Rajan Chaudhary, Commissioner of Customs, Airport in his address, stressed upon the officers to be diligent, sincere in performing their duties and should maintain absolute integrity at all times. Prizes were also distributed to winner of various competitions organized during the week. The program was well attended by the departmental officer of Airport and Air Cargo.

Vigilance week commenced on 27.10.2020 with the Vigilance pledge being administered by Commissioners of Customs, Airport and Smt N Padmasri, Commissioners of Customs, Air Cargo to departmental officers & staffs. A skit was organised on the Vigilance theme “Vigilant India, Prosperous India” on 28.10.2020. Grievance redressal camps were also organised at International Airport Terminal and Courier Terminal for passenger & stake holders on 31.10.2020.
