Two more Maharashtra ministers will quit in 15 days, says BJP leader Chandrakant Patil

Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrakant Patil on Thursday said that two more state ministers will submit their resignation in the next 15 days after “some people will go to court against them.”

He also stated that Maharashtra is now a “fit case for President’s Rule”.

Patil’s remarks came a day after suspended cop Sachin Waze accused former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh and Transport minister Anil Parab of pressuring him to extort money from BMC corporators, bars and restaurants across the city.

Without taking names, the senior BJP leader told media persons, “Two state ministers will have to resign in another 15 days. Some people will go to court against these ministers and then they will have to quit.”

He added that the allegations levelled against Parab should also be probed along with those against Deshmukh, which is currently being investigated by the CBI.

“BJP is not making the demand though. From everything that has been happening in the state, experts should explain what else is needed to impose the President’s rule. If you want to blame the Centre for everything, why not give the state administration to the central government?” he said.
