Rotary club team during handing over oxygen concentrator to HBT Hospital

With the scarcity of oxygen cylinders during the treatment of Corona affected people, scores of organizations from India and abroad have put forward their help.

 In its wake, the Rotary Club of Bombay Queen City has also come forward for noble causes. The Rotary Club handed over 5 units of oxygen concentrators to Hindu Hruday Samrat Balasaheb Thackerey Trauma Care Municipal Hospital (HBT) at Jogeshwari East in Mumbai. Aviva, the United Kingdom’s (UK)’s largest insurance company, donated these concentrators.

 The Rotary District 3141 in association with UKIBC organized a program and handed over these concentrators to HBT hospital. Rotary District Governor Elect Dr. Rajendra Agrawal, Suman Agrawal, National Secretary of Akhil Bhartiya Agrawal sammelan, Harish Choksi, Subhash Dalvi, Girish Agrawal, Dr. Rajendra Bachhaw of HBT Trauma care Hospital was present on this occasion.

 This is to be noted that Rotary Club is active in various social activities for the larger public interest. It is always engaged in relief-rescue and treatment help work of Corona affected at the global level these days.

 Dr. Rajendra Agrawal, Rotary District Governor Elect, speaking to Mumbai Messenger Newspaper said

“We have handed over 5 oxygen concentrators to HBT Trauma Hospital. Besides, we have also distributed 10 concentrators in Goa and 7 concentrators in Ahmed Nagar. We are planning to distribute a few hundreds more concentrators to various hospitals on National and State level in a period to come, for which efforts are being initiated on priority basis. The Rotary club believes in service to the nation and needy people. It is our solemn commitment to ensure affected people are able to benefit from these products and help drive recovery and normalcy at the earliest. Whenever there is a need for social causes, we ensure that it should be delivered without a delay”.
