  •  In his new role, Dietmar will take the charge for leading the overall hotel operations, ensuring sustained recovery and growth for the hotel.

Globetrotter hospitality veteran Dietmar Kielnhofer has joined as Area Vice President of Hyatt India and General Manager of Grand Hyatt Mumbai Hotel and Residences. Most recently, Kielnhofer was general manager of the JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar. Dietmar has a wealth of experience spanning over thirty years in the hospitality industry.

Bringing with him several decades of experience, Kielnhofer is truly an experienced person in the hospitality industry. A career that has seen him circle three continents and work in major and exuberant cities such as Tokyo, London, Sun City – South Africa, Istanbul, Bangkok, Vienna, Mallorca, Zermatt, Lugano and more, in various roles, he can surely be defined as globe trotter.

Educational Assets: Dietmar comes with a strong wealth of educational background. He completed his hotel management degree from prestigious School of Hotel Administration Heidelberg, Germany specialised in the field of hotel, Motel and Restaurant Management. He also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing from University of Leicester and has also done his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from American University of London specialised in Marketing Management, to name a few.

Kielnhofer is an Austrian national from The Styrian capital Graz, here is a sneak peak into a true hotelier’s personal life, passionate of Skiing and Golf. An avid reader and his alter ego brings out the Chef in him, loves to cook while spending quality time with family.

Dietmar’s strength: Dietmar Kielnhofer’s strength is hotel operations, marketing, human resources, food and beverage and finance. His specific expertise includes consistently delivering above average financial performance, market share growth, improving service standards as well as maintaining excellent relationships with owners. Additional skills include the oversight of new hotel projects, conversions and brand integrations.

He is personable, possesses a high degree of energy, integrity and commitment. He is recognized for ability to harness the needs of multiple stakeholders while achieving a balance between building sustaining relationships, driving efficiencies and achieving expected outcomes. Sets high standards and leads with a confident down to earth approach. He enjoys managing multi functional teams, engendering a spirit of continuous improvement and personal empowerment.
