The police have launched a hunt for two “mysterious men” in a WagonR who asked a taxi driver for the way to industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s residence, Antilia, on Monday and claimed not to have an app to find the route. The Ambanis are not in Mumbai at present.
Investigators are preparing a sketch of the duo based on the descriptions given by the taxi driver, who alerted the police control room as he felt something amiss with the behaviour of the men who approached him near Azad Maidan around1pm, reports Mateen Hafeez.

As per the taxi driver’s version, he told the duo to search the address in an app. They told him that they did not have an app on the phone.
“The taxi driver told us that later the duo left,” said a senior police officer.
Soon after the call, the police began scanning all CCTV cameras in the area for footage and collecting information about the two men. The police said hey were also making inquiries about the car number given by the taxi driver. “We are making inquiries into it,” said the police officer.
The CRPF has been deployed for security at Antilia for a long time now.
Earlier this year, an SUV with explosives in it was found parked near Antilia. In that case, the NIA has arrested several people, including dismissed API Sachin Waze.
