In a shocking case reported from Mumbai, a minor was sexually assaulted by his neighbour at the latter’s residence in Kandivali (West) of the city.
As per the Charkop Police Station, the accused and the victim were neighbours and were acquaintances of each other. The incident occurred around a month ago when the 21-year-old accused was alone at his home as his family members were out.
the accused saw his 14-year-old neighbour playing outside and invited him inside.
There, he sodomised the minor boy and later threatened to kill him if he revealed the act to anyone. Traumatised by the incident, the boy kept the incident to himself but later revealed it to his elder sister.
Police have registered a case and arrested the accused under the Protection of Children Against Sexual Offence (POSCO) Act.
