Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi has been blanketed by heavy police cover as two persons succumbed to gunshot wounds sustained during Friday’s violent protests against controversial remarks on Prophet Mohammad by suspended BJP spokespersons as Hindutva outfits called for a bandh on Saturday, June 11, 2022 against the violence.

The peaceful protest spiralled out of control as a few protestors began pelting stones after the police attempted to disperse the crowd gathered near the Hanuman Mandir, which is just 150 meters away from Iqra Masjid on the main road.
The injured are currently being treated at the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ranchi. According to the latest information, at least 18 people suffered severe injuries in the firing. The deceased were identified as Mobasir of Islamnagar and Sahil of Christia Nagar on the Mahatama Gandhi Road.
These two people were later identified as Mudassir of Islamnagar and Sahil of Christia Nagar on the Mahatama Gandhi Road, by Maktoob Media.
It’s so sad people are killing each other over religion in India. India has always been a secular country and brothers and sisters from every religion has lived with peace and harmony until now. It’s not about a Muslim or a Hindu being killed. India should be sad over the fact that a human was killed irrespective of their caste or religion. These are people from rural areas who aren’t educated and acting out like this instigating violence but on the other hand people like Nupur Sharma who are so highly educated representing our country aren’t less making such shameful and hateful comments about other religions. So what’s it about education? Religion? Or people just being not able to think rationally?
