The BEST administration has introduced a new air conditioned bus service from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (VT station) to Free Press House at Nariman Point. The new bus was commissioned from Friday, 17 March 2023 and its route number is A-100.
It may be noted that there was a continuous petition from travellers to begin with new bus service on this route. Keeping in view of the public petition and in the larger interest, BEST management did a survey and finally decided to commence bus service on this route.
The itinerary of this bus would from Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and will travel via – Dr. Dadabhai Naoroji Marg, Huttma Chowk, Ahilyabai Holkar Chowk (Church Gate), Hutatma Rajguru Chowk (Mantralaya), Free Press Journal Marg and it will terminate at Free Press House. The first bus service from Mumbai CSTM will depart at 08.00 AM and the last service will be at 20.45 Hrs. Similarly, the first bus service from Free Press House would commence at 08.15 AM and the last service would depart at 21.00 Hrs.
The bus service on this bus route will be operational from Monday to Saturday (including public holidays). The buses on this bus route will be operated from Monday to Saturday (including public holidays).
A passenger namely Rajendra Chopra who travels on this route on a daily basis, beamingly said “We are very happy and thankful to BEST administration for commissioning this air conditioned bus route. The office goers were demanding this bus service for quite some time, it’s better late than never, we will ride this bus service. This bus route will save a lot of time and we would reach home early to be with family. We are thankful to BEST administration to begin this service due to which thousands of passengers would be benefitted”.
The BEST administration has appealed to the passengers to take advantage of this bus service, as per press release.
