Physiotherapy facility camp at Thane

The senior citizens. The services provided for relief of knee pain, neck pain, heel pain, elbow pain, paralysis gas, back pain and waist pain. There were physiotherapy vans provided in the clinic for pain and shoulder pain. Majority of senior citizens availed free physiotherapy facility in Savarkar Nagar Thane.

During the event Physiotherapists Dr. Vishal Gupta and Dr. Chitra Joshi introduced modern technology that included I.F.T. Machine, ultrasound machine, tens machine, traction machine, muscle stimulator, treatment exercise therapy using technology, balance training, post-fracture exercise, breathing exercise, dry needling therapy were guided and guided. It was organised on 12th and 13th April, 2023 from 10 am to 5 pm at Gnanodaya Vidyamandir.

A bio toilet was constructed in the van for the convenience of the doctors in the van. It was inaugurated by Rotarian Kailash Jethani, Provincial Governor of Rotary District 3142. Members of Rotary Club President Lalita Argekar, Ulhas Argekar, Ashok Singh, Haresh Deshpande, Vijaya Muralidhar, and Jyoti Chavan, Rajesh Meher attended this event.

On this occasion Dilip Bartakke said that senior citizens need physiotherapy for various pain relief. The physiotherapy exercise helps your body to become stronger and more flexible. Physical changes occur in the elderly as they age. Bones and muscles in the body wear out. Due to this, the bones become brittle and the muscle strength decreases, the balance of the body deteriorates.

Recently, despite the need to keep healthy, senior citizens do not get time for health due to the financial disorder in their daily life, lack of transportation facilities. That’s why some senior citizens don’t go to the hospital even if they want to. Nowadays, people do not have much time to take the elderly to the hospital. Rotary Club of Thane Uptown noticed this problem of senior citizens. In collaboration with Rotary Club of Thane Uptown and Dignity Foundation, the initiative “Free Physiotherapy Van to the Homes of Senior Citizens” has solved that problem and contributed to take health services far and wide.

Jyoti Chavan, office bearer of Rotary Club of Thane Uptown appealed to maximum number of citizens to take advantage of this by holding camps in different wards of Thane city. Senior citizens Avinash Sakpal, Ravindra Dalvi, Raghoji Parab got special support to make the free physiotherapy facility camp a success.
