China’s top most media house CCTV+ and India’s Mumbai Messenger announce a content sharing partnership to reach out to global audiences

The news media play a crucial and valuable role in informing the concerned citizens about the events that may shape the future. Independent media play a crucial and valuable role in societies, in particular by upholding the essential principles of media freedom and pluralism. Media collaboration is an important tool for capacity building by using the best of the available content. This helps in reaching out to new audiences.

According to Gao Wei Managing Director and Editor in Chief of CCTV+ “At CCTV+, we believe that content sharing has tremendous potential to reach out to wider audience. We already have signed with 640 media outlets in more than 149 countries. We are proud to entering into a partnership with Mumbai Messenger from India. Together, we will offer more versatile content to audiences of both media houses.”

“This collaboration with such prestigious Chinese media will surely drive new growth opportunities for both the media houses. We will use every tool at our disposal to support each other to report best of the stories around the world,” said Mewati Sitaram, Editor-in-Chief of Mumbai Messenger Newspaper.

China Media Group (CMG), was founded on March 21, 2018 by the merger of CCTV, CGTN, CNR and CRI. It offers international media products and services in accordance with international standards through its own online global distribution system www.cctvplus.com. Their daily press release contains approximately 100 videos and scripts in 7 languages, including English, French, Arabic, Spanish, Russian, Japanese and German. We now have a total of 128 partners from 19 Asian countries and over 600 around the world.

During the signing ceremony at CCTV+ office in Beijing Ms. Li Xia, Deputy Managing Director, marketing Executive Jolie and other officials were also present.
