On the occasion of Indian Constitution Day, 5s Foundation celebrated its first anniversary. To mark this occasion, a program was organized at New Maharashtra Sadan in New Delhi. Former Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker Shri Charanjit Singh Atwal was the chief guest in this program and Ramdas Athavale, Minister of Social Welfare, Government of India and Sumitra Valmiki, Rajya Sabha MP were also invited.
In this program, Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha’s Ulhasnagar Prabhari Sumit Mehroliya was honoured with the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Samaj Bhushan National Award for the social work done by him. Along with him, other social workers of Thane district were also honoured, which included Ramveer Karotiya (Thane) and Sunil Singh (Kalwa), they were also given a trophy and certificate of honor.
Also, students of Valmiki Samaj from all over India and other prominent dignitaries of Valmiki samaj, who have done extraordinary work were also honoured with certificates and trophies and their enthusiasm was boosted.
President of BJP Yuva Morcha Ulhasnagar, Sumit Mehroliya, while talking to Mumbai Messenger Newspaper, said “I am very happy to receive this award and certificate. It’s a recognition of my work rendered to the downtrodden and marginalised society. It will always be my endeavour to provide appropriate help not only to the people of my community but also to all needy persons. Receiving this award has given me a new energy, now I will work more enthusiastically in rendering social work”.
The prominent dignitaries who were part of the program included Raja Balmiki, National General Secretary of 5S Foundation, Harish Revadikar, National Treasurer, Lokesh Bainiwal, Delhi State President and Jagdish Bahnwal etc.
