Governor of Maharashtra Address Conference of IIT Registrars at Raj Bhavan

The Governor of Maharashtra Ramesh Bais addressed the Conference of the Registrars of Indian Institutes of Technology from across the country at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai on Saturday, March 16th, 2024.

Addressing the registrars, the Governor asked them to make administration ultra- modern and student – friendly. He expressed the need to create a safer atmosphere for the students from rural areas and those from SCs, STs, Minority communities and transgenders. The Governor also called for efforts to increase the percentage of girl students in IITs.

The IIT Registrars are in Mumbai to attend a two-day Conference on the theme ‘Building World Class University Administration’ organized by IIT Mumbai.

Dean (Administration) of IIT Mumbai Prof. Nand Kishore, Registrar Ganesh Bhorkade, Prof. Philipos, Dr. Nayan Dabholkar and registrars of 18 IITs attended the event.
