Ethiopian Ambassador addresses 6th Global Business leadership Forum

The 6th Global Business Leadership Forum was organized by the Asian African Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Mumbai on 6th April 2024 and the event was honoured by the presence of Ambassador Demeke Atnafu Ambulo as the Guest of Honour.

The forum commenced with playing the national anthems of India and Ethiopia, symbolizing the strong ties and mutual respect between the two nations, followed by a traditional lamp lighting ceremony.

Welcome address was made by Dr. G D Singh, the Founder and President of Asian African Chamber of Commerce and Industry by emphasizing the importance of collaboration and partnership to unlock boundless opportunities existing in Asia and Africa.

Ethiopian Ambassador H.E. Demeke Atnafu Ambulo addressed august gathering the event highlighting ample opportunities existing in priority sectors, such as agriculture and agro-processing, manufacturing, mining, ITC and tourism.

He further dwelt in detail and elucidated conducive economic factors, market factors, abundant young and educated labour force, industrial parks built with modern art of technology as well as lucrative investment packages.

Describing the Ethio-India relationship, he stated that India is the second source of import for Ethiopia as well as India has a reputation of being the second largest investors in Ethiopia and invited participating companies to invest in priority sectors as well as emerging sectors such as finance, telecom, transport and logistics etc, as Ethiopian airlines flying from four major cities in India i.e. Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore connect Indians not only with Ethiopia but with 64 cities in Africa.

  Global Business leadership award was presented to leaders of companies from different parts of the globe including USA, UK, Germany, New Zealand, Kenya, Japan, China, etc. from diverse sectors of the economy, philanthropists, innovators, film actors, actresses, and musicians.
