MMRDA’s Exposure of Control Room for Arriving Monsoon

From June 1, 2024 till September 30, 2024, Control Room set up by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has assured to operate and function for emergencies caused by heavy rain’s in upcoming monsoon season.

The control rooms aim at minimizing inconveniences caused by dangerous, potholes, waterlogging, uprooting trees, unpredicted, accidents, traffic snarls and any issues or emergencies related to the MMRDA or not.

Anybody aware and acquainted with emergencies is welcome to call and notify on the given numbers.
The Mumbai Metropolitan team informs us that over 300 professionals of engineers and workers have been appointed to ensure safety at various project sites in MMR throughout monsoon season;
19 Emergency response teams, compromising of one engineer and 10 labourers, each will handle any notified emergency.
Furthermore informed,18 Emergency centres, maintenance vehicles and 17 ambulances are kept on standby 24×7.

Also to reduce more monsoon risk, 131 water pumps for efficient drainage and well adjusted barricades to maintain traffic flow, drain dividers repaired, electrical equipment tested, soil pipes being removed etc performed.
Moreover, India’s longest sea bridge ‘The Atal Setu’ has also taken multiple measures for safety and consequent access during monsoon season.
Atal Setu also has a provision of Ambulance, Fire resource vehicle, and vehicle two crane available all time around the clock.

MMRD’s Commissioner Respected Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee stated “ As we gear up for the monsoon for the Monsoon Season, safety remains our top priority.

The Heads of Departments have been instructed to strictly adhere to safety measures and follow norms to ensure the smooth functioning of MMRDA projects. We are committed to promptly providing emergency assistance to other organizations if needed,” Good Words and Actions promoted by the MMRDA team.

Repeated, any noticed emergency must be notified to the MMRDA control room staff for them to analyze and forward to the concerned respective engineer/officer/agencies.
