She brings 23 Years of Extensive Knowledge, Elevating the Guest Experience in Hospitality Field

Young, dynamic, determined and fearless, Sheetal Singh has joined Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Goa, as General Manager. She brings a wealth of experience and leadership to her new role. Prior to her new assignment, she was heading Ginger Mumbai Airport as General Manager. At Ginger, right from the pre-opening, her dynamic leadership significantly contributed to the brand’s success.
In her new role, Sheetal aims to elevate the resort’s reputation for luxury and exceptional guest experiences. Her strategic vision and deep understanding of hospitality operations make her a valuable addition to the resort’s leadership team.
Sheetal is an All-India Topper and has completed her higher secondary from Kendriya Vidyalaya (Central School) Jammu with flying colours. To pursue her dream profession in hospitality, she joined IHM Pusa. She was selected as a Management trainee at ITC hotels, during campus interview.
In her tenure at ITC Hotels, she worked for prime luxury properties such as ITC Sonar Bangla, ITC Grand Central Mumbai, Welcomegroup Aurangabad and ITC Green Centre Gurgaon. As she wanted to enhance her professional horizon, she joined Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai as Deputy Housekeeper. Later, she was promoted as Executive Housekeeper and Director of Rooms at Taj Bangalore.
Sheetal was keen to grow further in the hotel industry, so, after her routine work of Housekeeping, she used to educate herself in revenue and economics by referring to plentiful management books. She learnt basic and advanced nuances of key management formulas of the hotel industry, by referring to orientations of top hospitality brass.
Sheetal hails from a small town of Jammu and belongs to the family of an academician. Her mother was a school principal. Her entire family leads commanding positions in enlightening fields of education. Sheetal’s mother wanted her to opt for a safe and secured government job in the educational field. But she was aspiring to be in the service of people and to contribute to the world, and be a part of something useful that made a positive impact. In those days, the hospitality industry was fast developing and booming, on the advice of her uncle, she joined IHM and never looked back.
Sheetal Singh, in response to being named as GM, said, “I am humbled to be chosen to lead this exciting endeavour. I look forward to strengthening ties while working with the team to create a wholly unique experience for Team Members and guests that reflects “Tajness” values and culture.”
When I first met Sheetal in Mumbai at Ginger, I found her to be a determined, driven, and robust individual who prospers on meeting and as well as exceeding each and every goal set. I also sensed that she’s not afraid of challenges that come her way.
