Maha Governor joins diplomats, International students celebrating Yoga Day

Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari joined members of the diplomatic community of Mumbai and international students in celebrating the International Day of Yoga at Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Tuesday, 21st June 2022. The International Yoga Day was organized by Videsh Bhavan, the Regional Passport Office of the Ministry of External Affairs.

Members of the diplomatic community, trade representatives from various countries and foreign students studying in India under ICCR scholarships were present.

Interacting with diplomats and students, the Governor said “Yoga is not just physical exercises, but it is a comprehensive way of life involving physical, mental and emotional well being”.

The international delegates participated in a yoga session conducted under the guidance of fitness guru Mickey Mehta. Regional Passport Officer Rajesh Gawande welcomed the guests. Regional Director of Indian Council of Cultural Relations Renu Prithiani was also present.

The Governor felicitated the speakers and trainers on the occasion.  Raj Bhavan officers and staff also participated in a yoga session conducted by The Yoga Institute.
