Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan extended his heartfelt congratulations to 16-year-old mountaineering sensation Kaamya Karthikeyan, who has recently made history by becoming India’s youngest and the world’s second youngest climber to conquer Mount Everest from Nepal.
Kaamya, a Class XII student at Navy Children School, met the Governor at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai on October 30, accompanied by her father, Commander S. Karthikeyan, and her mother, Lavanya. During the meeting, the Governor praised her remarkable achievement and dedication to mountaineering.
In addition to celebrating her Everest ascent, Governor Radhakrishnan offered his blessings for Kaamya’s ambitious mission, “SAHAS,” which aims to conquer the highest peaks on each continent and ski to both poles. He commended her courage and determination, emphasizing the inspiration she provides to young people across the country.
Kaamya’s extraordinary accomplishments not only highlight her talent but also showcase the spirit of adventure and resilience among the youth of India.
