JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar has announced the appointment of Varun Suden as the new Director of Operations. In his new strategic leadership role, Varun will oversee the overall functioning of the hotel, focusing on performance excellence and elevating guest experiences across all departments. Varun’s appointment reflects the hotel’s continued commitment to service innovation and operational brilliance.
A seasoned hospitality professional with over 19 years of experience, Varun brings a wealth of knowledge acquired through key roles with prestigious hotel brands including Marriott International, Accor Hotels, and The Leela. Before joining JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar, he served as Director of Rooms at JW Marriott Bengaluru, where he played a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiencies and delivering exceptional guest satisfaction.
At JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar, Varun will focus on strengthening revenue and cost management, market share growth, and operational reporting. He will ensure that the hotel’s guest experience remains aligned with Marriott International’s brand standards while fostering innovation and excellence across teams.
Varun’s career in the hospitality industry began in the Food & Beverage division, where he developed a strong foundation in luxury dining and guest engagement. He later transitioned into the Front Office department, progressing steadily through senior roles and eventually taking on the position of Director of Rooms. His leadership journey reflects a deep commitment to excellence, a keen understanding of business dynamics, and a consistent drive for operational improvement.
Educated at The Shri Ram School at National Capital Region (NCR) of Delhi. Varun holds a Diploma in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management, Aurangabad, and a BA (Hons) in Hospitality Management from The University of Huddersfield, located in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. His academic background, combined with years of on-ground experience, makes him a valuable asset to the JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar leadership team.
Varun will enhance services, strengthen relations, and lead teams to greater efficiency and guest satisfaction, furthering the hotel’s legacy of luxury and excellence.
