The Global Women’s Trade Pre-Summit B2B Meetings, organised by the All India Association of Industries (AIAI) in collaboration with the World Trade Centre (WTC) Mumbai, brought together business leaders and trade representatives from 12 countries. With over 60 international delegates in attendance, the event served as a dynamic platform to strengthen cross-border partnerships and promote women-led enterprises.
“With women-led enterprises and international trade collaboration gaining momentum, the pre-summit B2B session provided a platform to explore emerging opportunities and build new business ties,” the organisers said.

Dr. Daphne Pillai, Chairperson of the India Chapter of the International Women’s Federation of Commerce and Industry (IWFCI), served as Guest of Honour. Highlighting women’s leadership in global trade, she remarked, “This Pre-Summit Meeting fosters partnerships and friendships that drive growth, innovation, and collaboration across sectors and countries.”
Ms. Diana Abruzzi, Founder and International Chairperson of IWFCI, was the Chief Guest. She emphasized IWFCI’s mission to promote women’s entrepreneurship worldwide, stating, “An idea can be more powerful than an army. Today, IWFCI has 14 international chapters offering a platform for women to become leaders, thinkers, and innovators. As the world transforms, women must upskill, adapt to technology, and seize opportunities.”
Dr. Vijay Kalantri, President of AIAI and Chairman of WTC Mumbai, said, “India has empowered women in trade and industry over the last five decades, yet participation in trade services remains low. Women-focused financial tools and institutions should be strengthened to boost their global role.”
The event concluded with a B2B Speed Networking session, encouraging collaboration and knowledge exchange to expand trade opportunities for women entrepreneurs worldwide.
