The 77th Republic Day is celebrated with pride and patriotic spirit today at Maharashtra Lok Bhavan, where Secretary to the Governor of Maharashtra, Dr. Prashant Narnaware, unfurls the National Tricolour in the morning.
Following the flag hoisting, officers and staff of Lok Bhavan, along with a platoon of the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF), police officers and jawans, sing the National Anthem and salute the Tricolour. The atmosphere resonates with national pride as a company of the SRPF and State Police participates in the ceremonial salute.
Dr. Prashant Narnaware extends Republic Day greetings to all those present and distributes sweets to the children of officers and staff, adding a warm and festive touch to the celebrations.
Several senior officials remain present on the occasion, including Joint Secretary to the Governor S. Ramamoorthy, Comptroller of the Governor’s Households Dr. Nishikant Deshpande, ADC to the Governor Abhaysinha Deshmukh, ADC to the Governor Lt. Vikram Kumar, along with other officers and staff of Lok Bhavan.
Meanwhile, the Republic Day message of the Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra and Gujarat, Acharya Devvrat, is scheduled to be broadcast today on Mumbai Doordarshan (DD Sahyadri) at 8.30 am, while Akashvani (Asmita Vahini) will air the message at 9.00 am.
