This Eid-Al-Adha, Mumbai’s iconic Gallops has reintroduced its popular Summer Cabanas at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse, offering guests a festive alfresco dining experience amid lush greenery and elegant décor.

Designed as a seasonal escape within the city, the cabanas blend open-air charm with contemporary garden-inspired aesthetics featuring floral installations, cascading blooms, warm lighting and natural textures. The experience is aimed at families and groups looking to celebrate the festive occasion in a relaxed yet luxurious setting.

A key attraction this season is the “Celebratory Cabana”, designed for larger gatherings of around 20 to 25 guests. Decorated with vibrant bougainvillea accents and spacious seating arrangements, the cabana is expected to host Eid lunches, family reunions and festive evening celebrations.

For smaller groups, the restaurant has also introduced intimate cabanas with cosy seating and subtle décor, ideal for close-knit dinners and relaxed evenings with friends. While retaining the charm of alfresco dining, all cabanas are fully air-conditioned to ensure comfort during Mumbai’s summer season.

The festive menu features several signature dishes from Gallops, including Melba Toast, Palak Anjeer Kebab, Achari Chicken Tikka, Goan Grilled Prawns and Corn Ribs. Diners can also enjoy favourites such as Dal Makhni, Butter Chicken, Akhroti Lasuni Palak and the slow-cooked Nalli Nihari, considered a special highlight for Eid celebrations.

The beverage programme includes summer-inspired cocktails such as the Alphonso Picante and Lychee Mezcaltini alongside classics like the Mai Tai, Espresso Martini and French 75. The Summer Cabanas are open from 12 noon to 11:45 pm and are available only through prior reservations.
