Marking Pride Month 2026, the Keshav Suri Foundation, in collaboration with filmmaker Faraz Arif Ansari, is hosting the fifth edition of TRANSaction, a free acting workshop exclusively for members of the transgender and queer community. The three-day programme is being held from June 12 to 14 at The LaLiT Mumbai.

Conceived as a platform to nurture talent, confidence and visibility, TRANSaction provides aspiring LGBTQIA+ performers with professional mentorship, industry exposure and opportunities for creative growth. Participants will take part in intensive acting and storytelling sessions led by Ansari, alongside interactions with leading entertainment personalities including Pooja Bhatt, Shweta Tripathi, Taha Shah Badussha, Tess Joseph and Shikha Talsania.

Since its launch in 2018, the initiative has worked to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity, connecting emerging transgender and queer artists with industry professionals and helping them build confidence and career pathways in cinema and digital storytelling.

“TRANSaction is more than an acting workshop; it is a platform that transforms potential into opportunity,” said Keshav Suri. “The industry was never short of queer talent; it was short on opportunities. Through this initiative, we are helping create access, visibility and meaningful representation, one breakthrough at a time.”

Registrations remain open for aspiring transgender and queer performers seeking a safe and supportive environment to explore acting, storytelling and creative expression.
