Patna’s food connoisseurs will get an opportunity to savour authentic Rajasthani cuisine as Hotel Maurya Patna hosts “Royal Repast Rajasthan”, a ten-day food festival at its signature restaurant, Spice Court, from July 17 to July 26, 2026.
The specially curated dinner menu will feature a range of traditional vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes that reflect Rajasthan’s diverse culinary heritage. Vegetarian highlights include Govind Gatta, Achari Ker Sangri and Dal Panchmel, showcasing the state’s distinctive flavours and time-honoured cooking traditions.
Among the non-vegetarian specialties are Maans Bootein, Junglee Maans and the iconic Laal Maans, while traditional desserts such as Pushkar Malpua and Gur Choorma will complete the Rajasthani dining experience. The festival will be held daily from 7.30 p.m. onwards.
The festival will feature guest chef Akshraj Jodha, an alumnus of the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Mumbai, and Ajmer Military School. With nearly 24 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Chef Jodha has held senior culinary positions with ITC Hotels, serving as Executive Chef at ITC Grand Bharat, Manesar, ITC Windsor Bengaluru and Welcomhotel Jodhpur. Earlier, he worked at ITC Maurya, New Delhi, ITC Rajputana, Jaipur, ITC Sonar, Kolkata, and Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur. He is currently the founder of a culinary venture based in Gurugram.
Chef Jodha has also represented Indian cuisine at international culinary events, including a food festival at The Ritz-Carlton Moscow, and has appeared on television with celebrity chef David Rocco for the Travel & Living channel. His culinary journey has focused on preserving the authenticity of regional Indian cuisines while presenting them to contemporary diners.
The festival is part of a growing trend among premium hotels to showcase India’s regional cuisines through limited-period culinary events, offering diners an opportunity to experience authentic local flavours from across the country.
