Celebrate the Rich Culinary Legacy of Bengal at Jamavar

Bengali food lovers have reason to rejoice. The Leela Mumbai in association with Aaheli, introduces an exclusive Bengali Food Festival at Jamavar, its award-winning signature Indian Restaurant. Aaheli is one of the first Bengali cultured restaurants in India by The Peerless Inn, Kolkata. An extensive spread of traditional delicacies and local favorites would be displayed. This festival brings together the timeless flavours from the city of joy.

  You can begin your meal by sipping on Gondhoraj Ghol, Aam Porar Sarbot, Kochi Dab-Er Jol (Tender coconut water) or Sugandhi Lebur sarbot. Take your pick from an assortment of classic appetizers like Mangsher Chop, Niramish Mangsher Chop, Chatakdari Jalpori, Piyaz Postor Bora, Gondhoraj Murgi, Poripati Patishapta, Rui Macher Patishapta and many more. 

The main course includes from an array of regional specialties like Galda chingrir karsaji,  Daab Chingrir Pelobota, Til Chingri, Malai Makha Daab Ilish, Ilish Bhapa, Basposnato Bhetki, Paddar Pabda (Delicacy of Pabda, from the banks of Padma River of Bangladesh), Kosha Mangsho, Polashir Mangsho, Kancha Lonka Diye Murgi and much more.

Vegetarians can relish authentic creations like Chanar Kalia, Phoolkopi Rai Shorshe Palong, Kadoli Pushpo Ghonto, Subji Grantho, Jhinge Aloo Posto, Bhaja Masalar Aloor Dum, Kalyani Begun and Potoler Dorma. You Complement these signature specialities with Phoolko Luchi and Koraishutir Kochuri, (Green Peas stuffed deep fried puffy bread fried in homemade ghee) or opt for trademark rice preparations like Samudrik Pulao, Mangsho Pulao, Suravi Pulao and Sugandhi Gobindobhog. Do not forget to try the local favourite Dal Raibahadur.
